WHY?
Hi beautiful people.
I created this blog for the very simple that I am very passionate about what I put into my mouth. Food and drink wise, that is. And I wanted to share this passion with other people that love good food. With this love, I do visit expensive restaurants from time to time, and will share these experiences here as well. But for the most part, we will talk about being able to eat, drink and enjoy life at a price that doesn’t leave you in debt…
I am not a trained chef, but I have accumulated a fair amount of knowledge about food, mainly because I am VERY curious. I love adventure, rarely order the same thing twice at restaurants, and when I travel, I prefer to enjoy the local dishes and cuisine at small restaurants and on the street as opposed to dining at the large chains or other contemporary spots. To be quite honest, I have eaten things that I really didn’t know what they were. Still don’t actually…
I will share my favourite recipes from different people and, wait for it.., even MY ‘SECRET’ recipes (that friends always ask about when I prepare some of my more popular dishes…). Mainly easy, tasty, meals that are prepared with readily available ingredients here in Nairobi.
Please feel free to share your own food thoughts and adventures, so that we may all learn form each other..
Looking forward to enjoying this food journey with you!!!
